Cookie Policy
Effective date: April 30, 2026
This page explains how Klipprr uses cookies and similar technologies on our website (the "Site"). When you first visit, we ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookies.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which we also use for sign-in flows and session state.
Categories of cookies we use
1. Essential cookies (always active)
These are required for the Site to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking core features.
| Cookie / key | Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
sb-* | Supabase | Authentication session tokens (keeps you signed in) |
klipprr_cookie_consent_v1 | Klipprr (localStorage) | Stores your cookie consent choice |
klipprr_attribution_v1 | Klipprr (sessionStorage) | First-touch attribution (landing page, referrer) for the current session only; not shared with third parties |
klipprr_ga_session | Klipprr (sessionStorage) | Anonymous session identifier; set only if analytics consent is granted |
2. Analytics cookies (require consent)
We use analytics tools to understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it. These are only set after you click Accept all in the consent banner.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics 4 | Distinguishes users; tracks page views, session counts, and in-product events | 2 years |
_fbp | Meta Pixel | Identifies browsers for Meta's ad measurement; used with Meta Conversions API | 90 days |
_fbc | Meta Pixel | Stores click identifier from Meta ads (set when you click a Meta ad) | 90 days |
| PostHog session & device cookies | PostHog | Product analytics: feature flag evaluation, funnel analysis, session recording (if enabled) | 1 year |
Server-side event forwarding
When analytics consent is granted, certain events (such as page views, sign-ups, and purchases) are also forwarded server-side to Meta's Conversions API and Google Analytics. This includes your IP address and browser user-agent, which are transmitted to those services for attribution purposes. This forwarding only occurs after you have given consent.
How to change your consent
You can withdraw or change your cookie consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for klipprr.com (the key is klipprr_cookie_consent_v1), then reloading the page — the consent banner will reappear.
You can also control cookies directly through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies will break sign-in flows.
